BASEBALL: Wolfpack on a winning streak in early season play

Big wins for the Wolfpack mean that they’re sitting pretty with victories across the board against local rivals and area squads alike.

The 6-1 North Paulding squad have picked up early season wins against the likes of East Paulding and Harrison, and on road trips to Rockmart, Creekview and Carrollton over the past week.

Among those wins? two out of the last four in a row were shutouts, including over defending Class AA state title winner Rockmart to open the latest run.

Now they’re primed to hit region series coming up this week in a good spot to make a run.

The Wolfpack travel over to play Etowah to open the region play on Tuesday, then host the Eagles for a Friday evening double-header to round out the series.

North Paulding then hosts Walton to open their next series on March 3, and heads to Marietta to play the Raiders on March 6.
