The season is getting off to a hard start for Rockmart after they fell in a road opener at Bowdon on Thursday night.
The 63-49 loss at the hands of the Red Devils came with a caveat: the Jackets weren’t playing with their full compliment as around half of the team were preparing for the opening round of the playoffs in football as both sports overlap in November.
The Jackets have a chance to bounce back this coming Tuesday in a road trip to Lindale against Pepperell.
Pepperell will open their season at home against the 0-1 Jackets squad.
