Dragons singe, but can’t stop Bulldogs

Cedartown came back and put up a big win to move to 2-2 as this week opens region play on the road with hopes to see improvements in the coming weeks.

The Bulldogs held on for the 28-27 victory this past Friday night on their home turf, reigniting a rivalry with the Pepperell Dragons and have two games in a row versus their neighbors to the north in Lindale.

Bulldogs Quarterback Wyatt Mosley went 4 for 6 in passing for 74 yards and two touchdowns on the night, Chris Johnson added a third on the ground. (One of the scores wasn’t included in the stats? -KtE)

Rohan Kent and Jakoby Dorsey shared most of the running duties, each racking up double digit yards on offense. Dorsey had 15 carries for 75 yards and Kent went for six carries on 68 yards on the night. Mosley added another 83 yards on the ground with big gains on quarterback keepers.

The Bulldogs head to Allatoona this week to open region play on the road against the Buccaneers. They sit at 1-3 after completing their non-region schedule this past Friday with a 19-14 loss to Holy Innocents. They opened the season with a win over Adairsville, but have been on a skid since after a Week 2 loss to South Paulding and a Week 3 loss to River Ridge.
