The Rockmart Yellow Jackets took a huge leap into the next round, topping South Atlanta to open the Class AA Playoffs at home.
The Jackets took a 30-point win 50-20 victory after rolling over the Hornets in the first half with six touchdowns, giving up a score in the first quarter.
Rockmart added a touchdown in the third quarter to guarantee their running clock, and allowed two more scores in the second half before time expired.
Rockmart has Laney in the next round for the Sweet 16 and will continue to host.
Laney comes into the game at 8-3 with their upcoming road trip from Augusta. They punched their ticket to the second round with a 48-29 win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in a road trip to Catoosa County on Friday night.
