It didn’t take long for the Cedartown Lady Bulldogs to pull off a rout to open the softball season over the weekend.
The Lady Bulldogs – who last year finished the season with a 17-14 record and made it to the opening round of the playoffs – made a statement against the Pepperell Lady Dragons in the season opener on the road Saturday in Lindale.
Full box score information wasn’t immediately available, but the Lady Bulldogs notched their 13 runs to finish off the Lady Dragons during the shortened game thanks to a run-rule.
Cedartown is back in action in region play against Southeast Whitfield later today on the road against the Lady Raiders. The Lady Bulldogs host Woodland in region play for their home opener on Thursday for the first day of school as well.
